Paris Weekend Travel Guide

Ahhh Paris, my favourite city in the world. It has been my dream for so long to visit this magical place.. and well finally for my 21st birthday I packed my bags and headed out to Paree. A weekend filled with baguettes, beautiful architecture, vintage shops and all things Parisian we managed to fit in a huge amount. In a city like Paris it can be so hard to choose what to see especially as time is not unlimited. So here is my list of recommended places you have to try if you find yourself in Paris:

1.  Restaurant Legendre Ideal: A cosy and casual brunch restaurant set in the 17tharrodissement, the very French interior colour palette is hard to miss. There service and menu was really good quality, plus their waiter knew English so was able to translate the menu for us. Vegan Options available.

Location: 92 Rue Legendre, 75017 Paris, France

Open: 12-2:30pm , 7-11p

2. Jardin du Palais Royal: Other then the Palais Royal itself, if you walk around past the many colonnades you will stumble into the beautiful gardens of Palais Royal. Be ready to sit by the water fountain and enjoy the peacefulness within this city.

Location:  6 Rue de Montpensier, 75001 Paris, France

Opens: 8 am- 8:30 pm

 3.  Café Kitsune: Set inside the stunning gardens of Palais Royal, Café Kitsune is a little tucked away jem set within the retail area of the Palais. Took us a little bit of hunting to find it. The crowd here is definitely locale. Known for their Parisian roasted coffee this is the place to get your caffeine fix!

Location: Jardin du Palais Royal, 51 Galerie de Montpensier, 75001 Paris, France

Open: 10am- 6:30 pm

4.  Soul Kitchen: Located within the magnificent streets of the Montmatre district, this kitchen is really a hidden gem serving up local specialities. Take a stroll through the Sacre Couer then finish off with a brunch in Soul Kitchen. I would recommend the Baguette, with fresh grapefruit juice and a French coffee. All for 11 euro. Vegan Options Avaliable

Location: 33 Rue Lamarck, 75018 Paris, France

Open: 8:45 am – 6pm

5. La Maison Rose: Walk past the touristic streets of the Sacre Couer and you will find this beautiful eatery and cocktail bar admist a street of pretty Parisian houses. This really is the crème de la crème of Paris. Warning alert you will spend ages getting that ‘instagram shot’.

Location: 2 Rue de L’Abreuvoir, 75018 Paris, France

Open 12 am- 11:30 pm

6.  Le Bon Marche: Literally the mecca of any shopping addict, the oldest department store in the world.. has the best collection of designer clothing I have ever seen. Walk through the glass bridge to the other side of the department store and you will find a cute glazed eatery with a beautiful setting of indoor plants that doesn’t even feel like your normal store. Stay safe with your spending girls especially.

Location: 24 Rue de Sevres, 75007 Paris, France

Open: 10 am – 8pm

7. Chez Marianne: Le Marais an area that know for its queues of falafel, for any falafel and hummus lover this is the place to be to get your fix. Chez Mariane is a cosy Lebanese eatery that serves up a fusion of middle eastern and greek cuisine. Try the 2 plate mezze with hummus, tahini and falafel. Vegan Options available.

Location: 2 Rue des Hospitalieres, Saint- Gervais, 75004 Paris, France

Open: 12- 11pm

8.  Dose: This cute café, set in the heart of the trendy Batignolles area serves up beautifully crafted coffee. Grab a seat outside and what life go by. The crowd here is definitely a local one, but the waiters speak English which is always a bonus! Be sure to try their Matcha cake too. Vegan Options Avaliable

Location: 82 Place du Dr Felix Lobligeois, 75017 Paris, France.

Option: 9 am – 7pm

There is so much to see and do in Paris, I personally would recommend just picking an area and wondering as so many of the areas we really loved was from wondering around and discovering cute places. Being vegan in this city can be tough but do remember that vegan in French is végétalien.Be sure to check out my friend Mary's Vlog Here.
